Chris is an accomplished advisor with over 15 years in the financial services industry and strives to create an atmosphere that eliminates the stress associated with financial complexities. Chris believes deeply that a well-constructed plan produces a road map that increases the likelihood of achieving long-term goals.
Previously, Chris spent seven years with Vanguard focused on wealth management where he worked to develop wealth management offerings across the firm while providing personalized wealth management to high and ultra-high-net-worth client families. Chris directly managed over $600 million in client assets and coordinated comprehensive wealth planning strategies including cash flow planning, portfolio asset allocation, investment tax planning, trust and estate planning, education funding, and small business retirement and succession planning.
Chris began his career in retail banking where he quickly found a passion for holistic financial planning. After obtaining his Certified Financial Planner™ designation from Duke University he worked at BB&T Wealth as a Financial Planning Analyst and then Strategist where he focused on helping clients accumulate and grow their wealth. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University but always had a desire to work in the financial industry, where he thinks of himself as a financial engineer for his clients.
Chris comes from a large, blended family and is the oldest of seven. He and his wife Whitney make their home in Mooresville, NC, with their two children Nash and Remy. Weekends consist of lacrosse, soccer, dance, and boating.
